About Cookievo
Cookievo is software for the cookie banner and the consent record behind it. It publishes a free cookie audit worksheet that counts what a site actually sets, how much of it needs consent and how much is already firing before anyone has been asked, and it sells a subscription that keeps the record: which banner version was shown, what each visitor accepted or refused, when they changed their mind, and which tags that allowed to fire. It is built and run by Ellul Solutions Ltd.
Why this site exists
This site exists because the hard part of consent is not showing a bar, it is being able to say what a particular person agreed to on a particular day, under the banner that was on screen at the time. Almost every site does the first and cannot do the second, and the gap only becomes visible when somebody complains.
Who it is for
the person at a small United States company who owns the website and has been handed the banner: a marketing manager, a web lead, an ecommerce owner, an agency producer
not a privacy counsel, not a DPO buying a GRC platform, and not a visitor trying to turn cookies on in their own browser
What it does not do
- no legal advice, and never a ruling on whether a rule reaches your business
- no vendor ranking: we sell a tool in this category ourselves, so refereeing it would be a conflict we will not pretend away
- no policy drafting, no DSAR handling, no analytics of our own and no tag manager, and never a judgement about a site we have not scanned

What Cookievo Pro keeps

I run the company behind this site and I built the worksheets on it. Most of the consent work I have been handed over the years came to someone who never asked for it - a marketing manager with a banner a vendor installed, tags firing before anyone clicked accept, and no record of what a visitor actually agreed to. So the sheets here inventory what your own site sets and what your own banner stores, the arithmetic is yours to check, and every figure I quote from a regulator or a vendor says where it came from.
